Welcome to :"La Petite Occasion"
L’Occasion Café and Petit Velours are teaming up for a brand new format: they’re opening in wine bar format on Thursday,Friday and Saturday evenings at L’Occasion Café, 188 rue de Vesle ! 🍷
The café is transformed on weekend evenings to make way for a selection of wines sourced directly from partner producers and/or vigneron.nes from different wine-growing regions of France: Champagne, Burgundy, Languedoc, Bordeaux and others, by the glass or bottle, on the premises or to take away. 🍇
Softs and local beers are also available, and we are offering a menu of light snacks. A gourmet and local offer, with vegetarian options: homemade spreads, charcuterie and cheese boards to share, roasted camemberts will be available among others. 🍽️😋🌱
The collaboration
La Petite Occasion was born out of a partnership between Erick, the manager of Occasion Café, and his friend Pierrick, an oenologist, wine engineer and wine merchant from Reims better known as Petit Velours. Indeed, the two friends organize monthly “oenological afterworks” at l’Occasion Café, dedicated to sharing and the secrets of wine tasting, which you yourself may have already attended ! 💪
➡️ Why the name? Because we want to be your little opportunity (“une petite occasion” in French) to get together with friends and enjoy quality wines in a relaxed atmosphere (and yes, it’s also a little nod to the names of our two companies – how classy is that? 😎)
This collaboration starts with the intention of enjoying a good glass of wine without pretense or headaches. 🥰 Every evening, Pierrick will be on hand to advise you and provide short explanatory sheets on the basics of oenology, drawing inspiration from the many workshops he’s held at Occasion Café and other venues.
